Payroll Giving
Making a regular donation direct from your salary is a simple and tax-effective way to give.
By signing up to Give As You Earn, you can give more whilst paying less! For a basic rate tax-payer, every pound the charity receives will only cost you 80 pence - or even less for high rate taxpayers.
Contact your employer or payroll department to find out if they are already registered for the scheme. If not, let us know, and we will contact them to help start a payroll giving scheme.
If they do already have a payroll giving scheme in place, then simply nominate the Sumatran Orangutan Society to receive your regular monthly donations, which will be deducted from your salary before tax.
Or why not consider the Every Penny Helps scheme? Your employer doesn't need to have a payroll giving scheme in place for you to get involved. It's a really simple idea that could make a big difference to SOS - you simply donate the pennies from your salary each week or month. For example, if you earn £278.50, you would donate 50p, and SOS would receive 64p with Gift Aid added on to your donation.
