International Orangutan Day 2019

More Trees Please

19th August is International Orangutan Day, and this year we're doing something really big to celebrate.

Thanks to generous support from Ocean Outdoor Media, we are holding a takeover of 45 different advertising billboards in eight cities around the UK on 19th August 2019. This will help us reach huge new audiences with our orangutan conservation message on International Orangutan Day. With beautiful animated images by Nils Camin, the billboards should reach around 1.5 million people, raising awareness of the impact of deforestation on Sumatran orangutans.

If you live in or near London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Paisley, Newcastle or Liverpool, we are hoping you can help spread the message even further. By taking a photo of yourself with your nearest billboard and posting it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with #moretreesplease, you can help to get everyone talking about our mission to plant more trees and give Sumatran orangutans a safe future in the wild. If you can’t get to one of the billboards, you can still help by looking out for other people’s posts and sharing or re-tweeting them.

Check out the More Trees Please page to find out more about why trees are so important for orangutan conservation and see how you can support our forest restoration projects in Sumatra.
