Why Participate?

Getting involved in our events is not just about the physical challenge; it’s about making a difference. Sumatran and Tapanuli orangutans are critically endangered and we must create a future where they can not just survive, but thrive in sustainable rainforests. By participating in our events, you become a vital part of the solution. The funds you raise all go towards protecting wild orangutans, their rainforests and their future.

Embarking on this journey is not just about conquering physical challenges; it’s about making a stand for a world where orangutans roam freely in lush rainforests. Let’s be the change we wish to see and protect the precious biodiversity that makes our planet unique.

“Every step you take, every mile you conquer, brings us closer to a world where orangutans swing freely in the treetops. Your efforts are not just a run; they are a run for their future, a run for the rainforests, and a run for a sustainable coexistence.”
Rhia Docherty, Individual Giving Manager

All participants will receive an exclusive SOS-branded top to wear proudly during their event. This not only unites our team visually but also raises awareness for wild orangutans. Additionally, you’ll have access to our dedicated fundraising support team, guiding you every step of the way.

So, are you ready to lace up your running shoes, go bungee jumping, or trek through the lush rainforests of Sumatra? Join us in 2024, be a part of something extraordinary, and let’s make this year a turning point for orangutans and their habitats.
